Social Centre Housing
(Reg. No. 424/1985 dt. 18.12.1985) Social Centre Housing extends itself in the form of shelters to the homeless. It owes the credit of contributing the highest number of houses to the people in Kerala. SCH provides dwelling houses for the marginalised and low income groups irrespective of caste, community and creed.

In memory of the visit of Pope John Paul II to Trichur, collaborating with the Central Govt., State Housing Board etc., we could construct 4300 houses between 1986-1990. In 1992, 500 houses were constructed by way of availing loan from HDFC and with our own schemes. Under the ‘Rajeev Gandhi One Million Scheme’ by the Kerala State Housing Board, 1085 houses were constructed. With Mythri Housing Scheme, 1031 houses in the year 1997 and in connection with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India assembly held in the Archdiocese of Trichur and in memory of the same, 150 houses were constructed in the year 2003. As part of the Tsunami Rehabilitation Housing Scheme, in 2005, a total of 42 houses were constructed. From the year 2005 to 2010, a total of 403 houses were constructed under Suraksha Housing Scheme of the State Government Housing Board. In memory of the installation of Mar Raphael Thattil, Auxiliary Bishop of Trichur, 50 houses and other 50 houses as part of the Birthday celebrations of the Archbishops Mar Andrews Thazhath and Mar Jacob Thoomkuzhy were completed in the year 2010. Under the housing project of Syro Malabar Cultural Association, Kuwait 50 houses are being constructed.
