Thrissur & Santhwanam
Thrissur has
been known for its social and charitable activities from the very inception of
the diocese and it has been in its zenith while Mar Joseph Kundukulam was the
Bishop of the diocese. He was known as ‘The Father of The Poor’. Based on the
Catholic Principles, Santhwanam has the mission to promote and coordinate all
the social undertakings of the Archdiocese. Healthcare Centres, Orphanages and
Rehabilitation Centres, Developmental Projects, Socio-cultural centres of
learning, social relations, protection of environment, imparting the social
teachings of the Church etc are to be promoted by this Secretariat.
